Suggested traveling means: MTR Central C Exit

可乘搭地鐵於中環地鐵站C出口步行至目的地

Operating Hours: Mon-Sat: 08:00-17:30; Sun: Closed
營業時間: 週一至週六: 08:00-17:30; 週日: 關閉

As Sing Heung Yuen is located at the middle in-between Central and Sheung Wan, it's quite far away from the MTR station and therefore I took about 15 mins to walk form Central Mtr Station C Exit to it. Sing Heung Yuen is a very famous and iconic traditional Hong Kong style tea restaurant with a semi-outdoor layout. There are only 5-6 tables and usually people have to wait for a long time. So I came a bit late at the lunch hour to avoid the peak hour. Luckily there are not so many people at around 2pm and I waited for 5 minutes only.

香港中西區美食---蓮香樓@中環 LIN HEUNG TEA HOUSE@ Central (By SPD4459)

地址: 中環威靈頓街160-164號

可乘搭地鐵於中環地鐵站C2出口步行約5分鐘

營業時間: 星期一至日: 06:00-23:00 (茶市: 06:00-16:00)

Lin Heung Tea House is one of the oldest Hong Kong style restaurants in Hong Kong. Like many traditional restaurants, they serve dim sum only during the day, and main courses only during the night. Lin Heung's food is traditional and delicious, especially their dim sum, which makes the restaurant quite famous and popular among local people.

It was a Saturday morning, so it was quite crowded. While friends and families sits around the table enjoying their food, other people (like us) were standing around waiting for a seat.

Once seated, our teas came in an individual tea cup with lid shortly after the waiter asked for our choice of tea. He washed our cups in the first pouring of tea and poured the waste into an empty container nearby.

This is a traditional Dim Sum cart. Food are not ordered from the order form, customers have to grab the Dim Sum from this kind of Dim Sum cart. The carts will be traveled around the tea house until the Dim Sum are sold out.

We have ordered the following Dim Sum:

Pork Dumpling/ Siu Mai with Quail egg.

Steamed bean curd with chicken, fish maw and mushroom.

Cha Xiu Bao and Steamed Chicken Bun.

Steamed Raddish Cake.

Conclusion: The Dim Sum are extremely delicious and you can feel the traditional taste when u try these Dim Sum. The total bill is quite cheap, around $100 for the above Dim Sum. But, do not expect you can have your own table in the tea house, and this is one of the experience of the traditional tea house.

Teakha was a bit far from the mtr station, I took about 20 mins to walk from Sheung Wan Mtr Station A2 Exit to Teakha. It was a little bit hard to locate, after a long walk I finally arrived Teakha. It is a cafe and tea shop. There was a bike outside the shop, which looks like a Tai Wan style cafe.
