As Sing Heung Yuen is located at the middle in-between Central and Sheung Wan, it's quite far away from the MTR station and therefore I took about 15 mins to walk form Central Mtr Station C Exit to it. Sing Heung Yuen is a very famous and iconic traditional Hong Kong style tea restaurant with a semi-outdoor layout. There are only 5-6 tables and usually people have to wait for a long time. So I came a bit late at the lunch hour to avoid the peak hour. Luckily there are not so many people at around 2pm and I waited for 5 minutes only.
The recommended specialties of Sing Heung Yuen are the tomato macaroni with beef and egg, crispy bun with honey and lemon and also the salty lemon with sprite.
Tomato macaroni with beef and egg $28

It's simple and delicious! Even though I know they simply use canned tomato puree, the soup is very tasty and intensely-tomatoey. It was hot enough and serves as a perfect combination with macaroni. Besides,the eggs cooked very well that the yolk was still slightly runny and went well with the soup and macaroni.
Crispy bun with honey and lemon $15

It is an interesting combination that I have never tried before. The bun was toasted perfectly. It was in between under-toasted and over-toasted, which allowed it to still be crispy, but not crispy to the point that it scrapes your mouth. It is amazing that they have found that perfect balance.
Salty lemon with sprite $13

Salty lemon with sprite is a special summer drink that full of Hong Kong style. he sprite and salty lemon is a very good combination. Some people also stated that it can cure a sore throat as well.
Overall: I really admire this tea restaurant, even though the reputation is gained and many people are willing to come, it still provides their food in a reasonable price with a very good quality. Besides, although it's located at outdoor and there is no air conditioning, however, it's a true Hong Kong dining! Foods came on time with correct ordered, staff are all relatively friendly. So I'm strongly recommended Sing Heung Yuen to all of you.
